Threadwork - knitting, sewing, crochet, embroidery, lacework, weaving, tatting, anything involving some sort of thread, string or wool

Just a fun discussion to discuss any kind of thread work people do.

I'll start

Right now I have two projects on the go, an embroidery piece for a card and a lace crochet doily that will end up about a metre across.

I've just finished a fillet crochet piece showing a tree as a birthday present.

I love thread work because it's really concentrating and precise and you can make beautiful things with just time and patience and practice.

Parents
  • I love crochet (amigurumi most!), cross stitch, knitting, and others! I constantly have multiple amigurumi and cross stitch pieces on the go.. I get a little over enthusiastic and start a lot of things and struggle to finish them all but I love the creation process! I hate not having projects in progress..

  • I also hate not having a project in progress! And I also struggle to finish them all.

It's why I generally have at least one project per craft form

amigurumi looks cool, I tend to try and have a project where I have a use or person in mind for the finished result so I haven't had a lot of opportunity to try it but I love looking at others creations with it
