I never had financial stability, since I was sacked from a Civil Service job in 2004. It was one crisis after another. No steady job, no structure in my life and little opportunity for savings.

I feel resentful for pursuing the Academic Route to success; prompted by pushy Teachers and Cute fellow Students - who took advantage of me.

I was an open book as a child, but have become more selective of who to trust now.

    Trust me, one gets no sympathy living in a rural area. If you don't have a job, you can't afford to keep up with the bills. And, if you have land, that disqualifies you from means-tested benefits.

    I'm still sceptical as to, whether or not, I'll continue with re-applying for PIP; once I receive the money. There wouldn't be near enough, even to cover for all the direct debit bills. I busted so many guts trying to work, and avoid dependency on welfare, while ending up kicked in the teeth. Northern Ireland bends over backwards to get you on benefits, then flips the bird at you if you want to work.
