As we are just about to have thunderstorms in the UK I thought I would start a discussion about the weather. What I really don't like is the forecasting system says it is very accurate but keeps getting it wrong, as I write we are supposed to be having heavy rain but it is dry as a bone.

  • 35 degrees today, 37 predicted for tomorrow, then thunderstorms on Friday.

    At least it's a decent Summer here! As someone else here put it, it remained more like winter till the end of May, Summer came in with a bang as soon as summer started. The last two Summers were pretty lousy. 

    I live for summer usually and hope to get to a beach this weekend, but with covid uncertainty it is still very difficult to plan a holiday where it will be possible to meet my partner. Work wise it's also very busy with a glut of new students, when normally things can get pretty idle.
