Aidie is using multiple profiles.

While I admit to doing that in the past, it's no longer my behaviour.

It's a reinforcement of negative stereotypes of those with Autism.

    I'm on board with that one too fair enough if you don't want your self known for that reason, it wouldn't surprise me if there are people on here who are most disingenuous however I do think sooner or later those people will get found out they'll make a silly mistake and then that'll be that.

    I can appreciate that one - not wanting to potentially taint your main profile - that seems a legitimate use for a second profile - but all the trolling and forum-manipulation just leaves a bad taste.

    We as autistic people have enough trouble dealing with real people - fake ones are just insulting - especially on an autistic site by 'autistic' users.      But I suspect some people are not as genuine as they claim.

  • using sock puppets is a long tradition on the internet and there are some situations where it's frankly warranted. If you're an admin and you want to separate out your admin role from commenting in the forum generally. If you want to make some sort of anonymous confession or ask for advice on something sensitive with out it attaching to your main username. Some use them to explore a new identity. For example people exploring different gender identities.

    However many use them just to troll or generate fake suport for positions they are arguing.

    Aidie is spending a lot of time attacking people and bullying but when challenged, claims to be Dani Mod or Chloe Mod and hastily deletes and edits posts.
