Writing, Art, Music & Toys

I'll start with the Toys, i still have a collection of toy cars, a couple of action men & through working at an Autistc day centre, rediscovered how much fun it is playing with Lego, i even treated myself to a box at xmas.

I love writing, mainly poetry/verse or prose. Some of my writing has been inspired by visual art, photos, paintings, some by performance art, the rest inspired by people, places, nature or other beliefs & interests, like music. I have been working on some of my writing, recreating it as spoken word or songs/videos.

I love listening to music, i still have a large collection of vinyl, also a large collection of cd's. My favourite instrument is the guitar, i still have the first one i bought in 1981, a Les Paul copy, although it is now a different colour to what it was originally. I have owned various other guitars over the years, Fender Strat copies, a Mexican Fender Strat, which i bought when i was having lessons, but then gave to my nephew, when he was having lessons too. My current guitar is a Dean Evo XM, which i bought in 2005, i have even written a poem about it. I did have a couple of acoustics, one i gave to a mate, which he then lost. Then i lent him the other one, which he managed to damage, so i let him keep that one too.

After making friends with a performance artist, back in 2010, I was inspired by her to try pole fitness. Although it took me a couple of years before i was able to, I had a few lessons in 2012, which i enjoyed, but due to work commitments & a knee injury that occurred last Sept, i have been unable to continue with any more lessons, which hopefully i should be able to, soon.
