I'm getting a lot of calls about insulation and heating at the moment because I am moving house so they have got my number somewhere.  I am registered with TPS but still get calls but my question is how do you handle the sales pitch as it is all designed for you to say yes and as people pleasers I think it is very hard for Autistic people to say no.

Does anyone have any suggestions other than simply hanging up?

    In fact getting cold calls by phone is the lesser of two evils.  The real problem is when people turn up in person and won't leave.  That's the problem I had at my previous house.  They smile, they lie and try to make a connection with you personally, the longer it goes on the more difficult it is to say no.

    With a phone, hang up.
