Research Items for People Researching Autism

Hey everyone,

I've linked some YouTube channels and some free online tests that I used during my period of research whilst I was looking into my (at the time) potential autism.

Feel free to add your own if you've seen anything you think might be useful for someone that wants to learn more about autism.

I WANT TO STRESS THAT ALL OF THIS IS FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES AND THE TESTS IN PARTICULAR ARE NOT VERY ACCURATE AND CAN BE VAGUE AND WILL NEVER BE AS COMPREHENSIVE AS A FORMAL ASD DIAGNOSIS.

I USED THE INFORMATION I LEARNED FROM MULTIPLE SOURCES TO GUIDE ME INTO MY DECISION TO PURSUE A FORMAL DIAGNOSIS WITH A QUALIFIED PSYCHIATRIST I JUST WANT TO HELP PEOPLE WHO MIGHT BE STRUGGLING ON WHERE TO LOOK FOR SOME INFORMATION.

YouTube channels:

There are more channels that deal with the same kind of content but I haven't watched a lot of the videos so I haven't linked them

Free online tests:

Online Test for Adult Autism | Clinical Partnershttps://www.clinical-partners.co.uk › for-adults › adult-...

Again there are more online tests you can do but some of them true to make you pay for the results and I didn't want to do that here are some of the ones that I used.

Thank you, O

  • If any readers are going to research Autism, seek videos of Autistic people themselves sharing their experiences, they share what helps them cope with the various traits and what they see their Autism as.

I find it very useful listening to both the professionals and Autistic people themselves.

There's quite a lot of TED Talks about Autism by Autistic people and parents with Autistic children sharing what they see good about their children's Autism and how they bring them up.
