If you're ASD, I would suggest looking at your childhood hobbies and interests and finding the grown-up version of them and that's where you'll find people on your wavelength and potential friends.
Meccano
Never got into Meccano - it was always too expensive to collect enough together to build anything worthwhile.
I'm ok with David Tennant too - Loved 'Blink' and 'Girl In The Fireplace'.
