How to walk correctly

Read an interesting column on how nobodies really walks correctly for a good spine and back, found it very interesting,, try it out...

1.) walk on your heels first

2.) chest pivoted out slightly to create a curve as you work on your heels

3.) hold head high as if touching the ceiling, neck straight head up, looking forward.

I feel this stretches the back up, creates the correct curve of the spine and you feel a foot bigger and helps posture.

If you look at other people in the street walking, 80% of them are misaligned.

I believe Autism may be a gyro-balance disorder, hence the cognitive brain is needed to keep up the neck, I still suffer from lagging of the neck whilst sleeping. It has been noticed that an early signal of autism is neck lagging(head falls to the side and needs to be held up by the parent). The brain keeps up the head/neck, not the body. The university of Israel found that bi-polar is also an body/brain imbalancing disorder. DANCE, movement and central balancing, ie. Tai CHi  has been found to help autistic people. Dizziness, vertigo, gravity displacment(up or down) have always affected me.

Personally I find my spine aligns itself properly when I walk around on the balls of my feet rather than the 'traditional' heel to toe movements.

In fact, theres research to suggest that human's are meant to walk like this, as its the primary stance taken by those who are running i.e. a sprinters heels rarely ever touch the ground as they run.

I find that by walking around like this not only helps my posture, but is easier to move around in and is more comfortable.

I can also vouch for Tai Chi, I've been trying to practise it at home and the slow movements make me concerntrate on my posture a lot more than I normally would, it also helps me to tune out other sensory inputs such as sound because all my focus is on executing the movements at the right speed and in the right position.

Sounds like you are "one step ahead" of us all, I will try the ball walking. Ty.
