Does anyone here get actually get any help from NAS ?

My experience is you ask for help and they send you a bucketload of PDF'S of other organisations. Am I wrong to have expected more ?

The chief executive gets paid 140 grand a year, is it right that someone can live in luxury on that kind of salary from charitable donations ? Not even counting the other 20 people on stupid salaries comes to over 2 million quid ...no doubt plus expenses.

I thought charities existed to help others but obviously they are more interested in helping themselves.

  • Arran, maybe the Government is "crowding in the service",, basically for research and development reasons, since it has recently issued the Autism Bill in England which will need to be incorporated into Law by the courts under case law challenges by the public and other interest groups. The NAS will under "market" capacity and later fragmentation will dissolve into small local "revenue streams" by increase market capacity, just now LONDON is control the business, because AUTISM is a business and a growing sector. (everything is commercial, knowledge is for sale, the NAS is the Hub exchange and clearance centre, so to speak). Like all the markets germinating from london, it will ripple up the land in time.  Just now, there is a data collection system going on about Autism levels and Adult levels missing other the last 3 or 4 decades.

    I personally think, that the government knows what has really causing a high outbreak of Autism and is gearing up because there graph curve level output levels are high.

    Funny thing is, Autism may just be a post industrial revolution syndrome or box factory thinking spheres, with autism being the hyperspecialism condition of our modern ages, the slave factory box has become too small, due to lack of touch with nature and the sun. I come from an old line of welsh miners,, all highly intelligent now,, due to lack of serotonin of the sun(vitamin D), adding in the diet factor of potato with no vitamin D.
