Do you have a bucket list?

I have cancer and recently started making a bucket list. Does anyone else have a bucket list, what's on it?

Here's mine.

  • Go to Scotland.
  • Create a game.
  • Start collecting vintage Barbie dolls.
  • Write a book.
  • Write a song.
  • Visit London.
  • Get a dog.
  • Get a cat.
  • Run a marathon.
  • Learn about electrics.

  • Hi Verity - me too - I'm 5 months into a 6-month prognosis - feel free to message me if you want to talk to someone in the same boat.

I'm a chartered engineer but I picked up an electricians qualification - it's not very hard to do.

    My current bucket list:

    Have a cheeky Nandos

    Beaulieu car museum

Sit by coast / sea – enjoy atmosphere

    Witness a solstice

Photos in the bluebells in the woods

    Prime steakhouse

    Minehead Labrador experience

Weymouth / build a big sandcastle

    Chester Roman stuff & zoo

    Colchester Roman stuff & zoo

    Disney Florida – last time

Fly an FPV plane or drone

    Sail my boat

    Sit in Mosquito cockpit

    Duxford museum

    Coach trips around the country

    Ride in bubblecar

    Ride a moped/scooter

    Afternoon tea somewhere

    Learn to weld

    Swindon train museum

    Drive a bus

    Go to an Antiques fair

live until Christmas - go to the local church service.

  • That’s an impressive list, which I need to try and think out somethings, but having great difficulty with anything others than surviving and trying to avoid the taxman clobbering my family wealth.

I was wondering about going nomadic or finding Scottish bothies

  • Thanks Dave - Forward planning is a must - you'll need to live 7 years after off-loading wealth or the taxman can steal it back - when we sell this house, the next one will be in my daughter's name already to avoid any handover issues later.

People *always* leave it too late to sort their life out - I've seen so many people die and leaving a mess behind.
