book research

Hi,

I am AJ im 19 and have aspergers syndrome (if you can't already tell from the style of writing Joy) I am currently working on a book I haven't got the title yet but the basic premise is useful tip and tricks for young adults with asd written by a young adult with asd specifically focusing on the following topic:

  • identifying and managing hyper fixations
  • managing fear of failure
  • studying
  • managing social anxiety
  • developing and/or improving social skills
  • managing finances
  • managing goals and expectations (linked to fear of failure)

I know the mechanisms I have developed work for me and some others but it would be really helpful to see what others use in order for this to be the best reasourse I can make it.

* im not being arrogant when I say works for some other people by the way, I actually worked with a number of independent agencies within the social care system and developed training courses both for providers and people on the spectrum. I know that doesn't sound much better but my story is a long and complicated one but the basic outline is that I was not coping well at all about 18 months ago (to the point that I was almost sectioned) but then I started implementing these techniques and am now in the best place I have ever been and am actually happy. (there's a lot more to it than that)

many thanks

AJ
