Dyslexic Fingers?

Am I the only one bothered by my own typing errors?    My fingers seem to have a mind of their own and deliberately punch the wrong keys all the time - just to annoy me. Smiley

I read through my posts and see lots of spelling errors - which drives me nuts - my need (compulsion) for perfection forces me to edit the post over and over to remove the mistakes.

I have an RSA in typing and computer literacy (from 35 years ago Smiley ) - but my fingers want to embarrass me at every chance.   Smiley

Raw typing example.....

  • No, I hate it. I pride myself on grammar and then my fingers try to battle my brain.

Sometimes it is a simple mistype, other times my fingers type a completely different word and sometimes I type without looking at the keyboard or screen and look up to see that I have typed 2 sentences with the wrong starting point and every letter is wrong, almost like I've written it in code.

However I read your raw typing as

If i didn't fix all my errors then i would be tyoubg (I' won't correct it) ... . My backspace key ois the most used on the kyepboards

  • Yes!   It's as though all those years of practising 2-fingered 'chicken-peck' touch-typing have just disappeared - extra letters go into words and it's like being overconfident with the rest so my fingers are faking a speed typing skill - although very slowly. Smiley   The bottom row of the keyboard seems extra-difficult to hit accurately  (from someone who still uses CTRL+C and CTRL+V all the time)

btw - the mystery word 'tyoubg' was meant to be 'gibberish'.    It speaks for itself!   Smiley
