For liquor I have a need,
To pills I sometimes concede,

I once met a gypsy girl in town,
Who stole my heart with every jewel from her crown.
We danced and laughed and drank the inn dry,
and kissed amidst sweet moonlight sky.
And there on the ground made love so fair,
Until she bled empty, my pockets bare.
