Mood altering drugs - good or bad?

SSRI's such as Citralopram are used to alter someones mood. Does this in turn make it harder to identify the causes of phsychological/physiological problems such as depression and anxiety? Therefore making them most unhelpful?

  • Depression is a horrid condition, something I am fortunate not to have experienced, yet. I am aware it can strike at any time. Depression is no joke, and it can never be enjoyed!. It is like saying that you enjoy being anxious, and as someone who has  chronic anxiety, this is no joke either.
