Went yesterday to help husbands friend move house. Turns out I didn't need to worry about his wife as she wasn't there but she had left their 2 year old! He's a real cutie but it's a lot to watch someone else's toddler when there's heavy furniture being moved around everywhere and no toys, Internet or TV installed yet. It also felt like a bit of an insult as she makes a huge deal of her being pregnant with number 2 when she knows we're struggling to conceive number 1. I don't even know where she was as there's a lockdown and they've sold their old house so she couldn't have been there.
They have a lovely view of the sea and a marina so I spent most of the day with the wee one watching the boats.
The drive to and from their house was nice, it's much further than we've been able to drive recently (assisting with a house move is an approved reason to leave your area) and it was nice to see the sea but a bit rubbish that we couldn't go out onto the beach.
Today we are cleaning the house and getting supplies for the pets.
Of course she came back in the evening and complained that things weren't where she wanted them to be, I didn't say that if she wanted boxes in certain places she should have been there to tell us but I certainly thought it!
