Unfortunately the 13th precinct is not available in English. Its an outrageous comedy. It 'made' the careers for some of the actors. The girl on the right in the photo plays a 'dumb blonde', she went on from this series, straight into leading roles in quality dramas and being one of the highest paid actors in Polish TV.
I liked the first four seasons, then it went a bit downhill.
I initially watched it in German because my mother is Polish and spoke very little English, so we had European satellite TV with around 400 channels in about 30 languages, only a handful were in English.
So I first saw it on German TV, then in Italian, finally in English on E4.
The life of the main character, Rory, is very different from mine. She went to an exclusive, very expensive private school. I went to state, 'sink' schools and a couple of special schools for maladjusted children.
It's very entertaining and colourful.
I originally saw it on German TV, in German, so I only got the gist of it. Then a year later it came to British TV and I finally understood the detailed dialogue.
I love all the quirky characters. I wish I lived in that kind of make believe world.
