Argos £30 eGift card - is it fake or real?

Hi I have received an email from Argos Gift Card Management Portal - the sender email is noreply@vexrewards.com

im wondering if it is real? I don’t usually click links in emails from unknown senders. I’m quite suspicious about it but it would come in handy right now the £30 if it is real.

We are pleased to provide your Argos eGift Card with the value of your agreed grant award. The eGift Card must only be used to purchase the awarded grant item(s) as discussed with your awarding organisation. The value can be used for multiple transactions until the expiry date, which is displayed on the voucher. You can spend the voucher online or in any UK Argos store.

Click the button above to download your Argos eGift Card, which can be spent instantly online at argos.co.uk or in any UK Argos store.

Any thoughts or input about this please?

  • I think even legitimate rewards come at some cost.

If there is a registration needed then that's data they're getting from you. Also, it's time spent on your behalf.

Some vouchers have quite tight conditions. Some people love doing these for the fun of avoiding the loopholes whereas others get fed up with having their time wasted.

It might be legitimate and ok. I don't know this one.

If it feels like it's been given as a free lunch - ie too good to be true - then, generally/statistically, it usually is too good to be true.

    That's my thoughts at least.
