I am sorry that there are some that don't like Christmas. I don't like the stress, the rush, rush and more rush - and people who must get there first..... but I do like the traditional side of Christmas, and so wish that all bad feelings between people could disappear.
Whatever anyone is doing, I hope that everyone has a Happy and Peaceful Christmas, and a New Year that brings you everything you wish youselves.
kids get a little stressed at lead up to christmas as do i. change in routine at school mostly for kids. Things just feel different around christmas, i think for all of us, especially the lead up to christmas. They really love christmas day though, not so much excited just lots of new gadgets to play with, no pressure stay at home, own bedroom to retreet to ,if they are happy them i am happy.
Roll on January!
christmas means different things to people.in schools it can be hard my son in his early days in primary got very stressed because of the emotions of excited children ,foncerts, partys, decorations etc, then as they break up,it all comes down when homes are still decorated.mine also got upset in supermarkets because he thought santa should buy the prezzies not mum and dad.,now at 13 he enjoying the singing and partys except he still wants to win ,but hopefully he will cope with that tonight.next week we will have a house full and will be able to retreat to his room, when he wants.
It's a stressful time of year for various reasons, but as long as I have my own space to retreat to on my own when I need it I can cope.
I'll be on my own again as I usually am at times like Christmas because my Mum goes away to other family and I can't cope with it.
Sometimes I go out for a walk which I enjoy when it's quiet but I'll spend most of the day at home doing not much - it's just another day really.
Roll on January and getting back to normal daily life.
I dislike it intensely.
For a whole variety of reasons.
