Can't sleep, time for a photo diary.

The last two days were warm and sunny.  Despite the stay at home advice, I took full advantage and took my daily walk with my camera.

On Friday we had VE day.  I left my flat and went north, out of the city, along footpaths, parks and woodlands. 

Parts of the path were still flooded with mud.

And difficult to pass.

I also came across some very nice, traditional,  prosperous cottages.

I wish I could afford to live in these parts.

Later I came across several street parties,  although people were social distancing,  they had chairs and tables on the public pavements and union jacks on display.

I walked down a street called, 'The Drive' this reminded me of the 1970s BBC comedy, 'The good life' which was set in a street called, 'The Avenue '.   This was definitely an upper middle class area,  with mature trees, gardens and large houses.  At their street party I was offered a very tasty slice of home made cake.  Most of the people were also drinking glasses of wine.

I made my way home through more posh districts,  woodlands and parks.

  • On Saturday we had another nice warm sunny day.

    This time I went south towards the city.

    The path through the woods was drier.

    Later I entered the poverty stricken inner city areas, with cheap semi derelict rented accommodation. 

    The park however was full of people, relaxing, sunbathing,  playing football, families out for a walk.

    I continued onto my Alma Mater and another smaller park.

    This park is unusual, there were less than a dozen people in it and it's surrounded by stone walls, one entrance is in a narrow side street and another hidden behind this building.

    Can anyone guess what's so different about this park?

    ...Greetings, Sir. Excellent photography as always. I just posted to say that.

    ...yet, whatever. If the places visited are local then there is no problem with visiting them even now. If the places are gained during a "daily exercise" then, there is no law against that, if alone or interacting with strangers while staying 2-Metres away from them for a short time.

    The only things I reckon are wrong here is the 'going to the street party' and accepting food (!) - not Your fault, totally, since the 'street party offering food to passers by' is supposedly the fault there. Supposedly.

    Maybe I could try a new Thread about clarifying lockdown/social restrictions. But I have not done that yet. I do not seem to know how moods are currently going upon this forum. So I shall here instead close My post by saying...

    ...I would guess, the fact that it is closed for now, or that there are next-to-no persons around it... or, just now, that nobody else here has Voted Up the photographs except Me so far...?

    (This is the kind of thing which I post when not getting feedback or am not happy.)

    I agree that accepting food from strangers at the street party was a mistake,  well, I live dangerously. 

    The unusual aspect of the second park I visited was firstly the small number of people that were there.  They were sitting on benches, having picnics and sunbathing on the grass.  Most importantly this park is a former cemetery!
