Hi. Popping in. What's new. Films

Just a catch up. How is everyone? Hope the Dennis isn't causing you trouble- not too bad here, rainy

I feel like my post dx is far away and other things like pain management has overtaken my thoughts. Good day today though. Determined to find relief best I can without drugs. And as obsessed as we are with figuring things out and researching, I'm making headway to what works for me and makes things bearable.

Little intrigued as I've still not gotten my post dx report from last August. I did email them back in end of last year but got no response. All I got so far is a copy of the general letter sent to my GP about my diagnosis.

I watched a really good film last night. On body and Soul. One of the main characters could be described as HF autism though I wondered if it was OCD. But was interesting was when this character made a faux pas in a social situation, they reenact it at home with little toy figures. If you're interested in watching do be aware the first six minutes is setting the scene in a working abattoir.

  • Hey! I'm plodding along. How are you? As for Dennis, what an apt name for the storm:

Luckily, it's not been too bad here (North Essex). Just raining a lot but not too windy.

Did you get referred to the pain management clinic? What non medication ways have you found to manage the pain? I'm glad that you're starting to find what works for you :-)

Did the assessment centre specifically state that they would send you an assessment report? I only ask this because I'm aware that many centres are no longer sending full reports but just the general letter. Apparently, this is because people were finding the full report too confusing. Personally I'm glad that I had the full report with the whole assessment broken down into sections and explained. Hopefully you will get yours soon.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the film last night. I can't remember the last time I watched a film. Actually, I tell a lie, I watched Bohemian Rhapsody the other week, that was quite good.

  • I'm sure they said they'd get a report done- perhaps it was just the GP letter after all. Hi Kitsune. But then again, I know my weak and strong points sooooooo, there you go.

I won't take drugs at all for this. That would be a slippy slope in the long run I feel. I spent £100 lately on trying out diffent cuts of clothing to see what aggrivates me. I've already gotten respite with a noseless saddle for cycling. But it is trail and error and somedays are better than others. Tiring though
