Most of you, who know me, are aware that I like going for long walks and my interest in photography.
I also like visiting sites from films and TV shows.
Would anyone like to guess what tv series this is from?
The film and the TV series were very popular at the time, and one of my favourites.
The major theme was that one of the characters had returned to Newcastle after five years in the army and in that time everything had changed. Houses had been knocked down, people had moved on, etc.
But in this famous scene, forty years apart there is almost no change.
This is a photo from my dvd/tv.
Compare this to my real photos.

I recognized the shops either side of the road shot straight away ~ but I could not at first recall what the relevance was and it took a couple of days with it bugging me.

Not during the sixties as I was born in the first year of the seventies, but thereafter yes.
Thank you very much for the bonus of the reminiscence session!
Well done. Are you a fan?
Bob (Rodney Bewes) discovers that Terry (James Bolam) is co-habiting with a Finnish beauty called Christina (Mary Tamm). Thelma (Bridget Forsyth) sees this as a golden opportunity to get Terry to settle down, and the four go on a touring caravan holiday - with disastrous results.

I blurred the signs out.
And for some unknown reason the film is not on that list.
It is a tough one, I notice that some signs are blurred, making it more difficult to research online. Is it on the is list of films from the link below, please:

Here is a more difficult one. It's the scene from a 1976 film that was based on a popular bbc comedy series.
In forty years the place has hardly changed.
The prisoner.
Here is another one, which television series was filmed here:
they are weird houses. there is loads of room but they went upwards
Spot on.
That was an easy one. Although finding the place and getting there by public transport was more difficult.
I'm guessing Last of the Summer Wine.
