I said to someone that I have on my Facebook from University that I had no friends to talk to anymore when I was feeling a little down.

Their response was 'Tom you can always talk to me :) '

Is this person suggesting that I am their friend? Is this something you would say to someone you care about?

  • For what it's worth it does sound like the kind of thing you would say to someone who considers you as potentially being more than just an acquaintance. Did you follow it up to see if they weren't just saying it as a convention? 

    The question would them be keeping it reciprocal I would guess.
