The Perfect Job For Autism?

Everyone on the spectrum is very different but what do you think is the perfect job for an autistic adult?

I will start, I am currently pursuing a career as a day trader although the markets which I am specialising in are not considered an official profession because it is new and mostly unheard of but I think it is perfectly suited to me. I am introverted so it means that I can do it from home without dealing with any people at all. My ASD traits of attention to detail, mathematical ability and obssessing over something allow me to do it every day without seeing it as a chore. It involves analysis of charts to buy low and sell high, I see it as playing a game as well as a great challenge which I love. I have been practising this almost every day for over a year and enjoy it although I still haven't found success yet I know I am getting closer every day. I know there are a lot of scams around trading and financial markets and I am aware of how these work. I am usually reluctant to go into detail or explain as people never understand or get the right impression of what I am doing. There are also disadvantages to this line of work including losing money in the learning process, but like anything else it usually takes a tuition fee and thousands of hours learning and practice to master it. It is rather solitary but actually allows more flexibility to manage a social life outside of the hours chosen to work

I used to want to work as a web designer or a similar home based role but I studied my degree in engineering instead. After working for a couple of years I found that I am not really suited to engineering or the corporate environment. Ironically to my introvertedness, I have actually found a lot of happiness in certain social environments (not all) despite not feeling like I truly fit in
