Three things about me: 3

There are three things I've been wondering about myself,  that I want to ask here here,  but I they have the same ultimate question,  and would like your thoughts on it, or if any of you feel the same about it.   Anyway,  I’m asking them separately, and here is one of them.....     I was talking with my Mum recently, and she said to me “You really are amazed when people nice to you aren’t you?”.  Do you know what?  To be honest, I am.   Is this a trait of my autism,  or is it just me?

  • hi David R.  My immediate reaction to reading each of your questions was : 1 - yes,

2 - yes.  3 - don't know.  But.....I don't know you + that is v important when someone is asked to make a judgement about somebody else.    I haven't looked back at all your posts.  Your personality, your talents, which may or may not be related to your asd, all play a part.  I don't know how much your autism affects you, all I think I know is that it will to some degree.  It's a part of you, but you have other parts, if you understand what I mean.  Being introspective isn't easy for anyone.  Most people aren't very good at introspection, whether asd or not.  In the end I think you can ask questions, listen to the various answers, weigh it all up etc.  All that may influence your final opinion, but don't rely on it all as "gospel".  bw
