Proudest mum in the world tonight!

I want to share this with you guys because I think your probably the only parents that will 'get it'.

For MONTHS I've tried to get Ds (6) in after school groups... We started swimming, he ended up in 1:1 lessons because he just couldn't cope.

, we tried football where I removed him after the instructor was an idiot and made ds feel like he was rubbish.. We tried beavers where he ended up again on 1:1 because he couldn't cope... Then we tried Marshall arts.

TONIGHT my son had a Marshall arts lesson where he didn't stim, he didn't make inappropriate noises, he listened to the instructo. Wasn't reminded ONCE about listening or behaving and was actually just like every other kid there - he was soooo proud of himself it brought tears my eyes!!

What other parents can take for granted I got to see tonight - my little lad copying routines, and more importantly picking partners to pair up with for sparring!!

absolukey over the moon :) :)

  • Well we had the mother of all meltdowns tonight (first day at childminder for half term so to he expected) but back down to reality with a bump! But am clinging to the happy feeling last night, which makes the fact that I got a rough headbutt in the stomach as a result of him flaying around during the melt down a bit more easier to bear than usual!!!
