So, just to bring everyone up to speed. After being diagnosed last December I decided to form my own group for Autistic ladies in my local area. We've had an online group for a few months and I've met a few of the members individually which has been great but tonight we had our first group meeting. There were 4 of us there, which was a good number for a first group meeting. We spent the evening sketching and chatting about our own experiences of realising that we were Autistic and getting diagnosed. It was a really good evening and all 4 of us enjoyed it. I'm so happy that I've been able to bring Autistic people together and make a difference to other people's lives and wellbeing and I'm really positive for the future of the group, that it will continue to grow and reach more people. I just wanted to share this to show that with a little bit of vision and determination we can all achieve progress in the resources available for Autistic Adults. :-)
