I have a 14-year-old daughter who is refusing school myself and my GP believe that she is on the autistic spectrum. Every time we have tried to get help for her we end up with the door closing.I am now at the point where she refuses to go to school. I believe she has PDA or similar. She has always struggled with aspects of everyday life esp sch but refusal is where we are now. If pushed to go she Disengages with me and will not speak if I try to coax her. I have tried to force her which ends with meltdowns which are incredibly hard to witness. School have helped to a degree. But says she needs a diagnosis to help more. I have been in constant contact with them but now we are at the stage they could prosecute as her attendance is so low. I am desperate to know what to do. I have thought of homeschool but at 14 it is a challenge. Please help me I need advice as I feel lost. What do I need to do to help her and get ger diagosed when all I get is a door closed.
