With all my problems, I decided this afternoon to forget it.
Just take a nice walk in the cold winter sunshine and take some photos which I share with you.
Fresh air is good for the mind.
My home town of Leeds. Will the NAS censor this information?
It's very practical.
People in flats hang their washing out of windows. It's never as effective.
Did another two hour walk today.
Weather not as nice.
I visited the site of the old Meanwood park mental hospital.
Nice housing estate.
Then a good walk through Meanwood park itself and finally through…
Thank you Robert these photos have lifted my spirits and will help me to end the day on a positive note. I am so glad you enjoyed your walk. The combination of sunshine and cool air is perfect when walking!
Good idea. I think I must try doing the same if it's fine tomorrow.
Great pics. Which town/city is that?
Leeds is a beautiful city you are very lucky to live here. Lots of green space. I spent a week there when I was 17 volunteering at Meanwood Park Hospital - that was quite grim.
It's now a luxury housing estate.
There are still plenty of grim places around here. Back to back houses with people living 'traditional" lifestyles. Thankfully everyone has been upgraded to inside plumbing. The outside toilets have a new use as a place to park the wheelie bins.
Meanwood Park had beautiful grounds. I met a patient there who was simultaneously confined in this long stay hospital for people with learning disabilities, and a member of Mensa. It is only now that I realise he may well have been autistic.
I love seeing washing strung out across the street to dry like this. It happens in the NE of England where I live, but I have never seen it down south.

I quite agree Robert - I’ve been known to walk for hours when I’m not feeling too well mentally, and it does help. I’m particularly fond of a walk on a starry night, if I’m lucky then I see owls and shooting stars which make me smile.
Lovely photos, what a pretty day.
