What makes us happy or helps us

Hi Everyone!

It occurred to me whilst typing what annoys me in response to another thread that it might be good to share what we find helpful in handling our autism and autistic traits and what makes us happy, if we can feel happy at all.

Well as I said in the other thread - chocolate gives me a good feeling and when my head is full and I'm hitting a meltdown, Mum drives me to a big beach or up on to the Moors near where we live and the space and bleakness somehow calms me down - it's like all the stuff in my head gets lost in the space and after a few hours I come back down pretty well.

Also, nature for me, talking to animals because I feel they understand me better than humans ever could.

So what helps you or makes you happy?

  • A hobby of mine is beating officials with the statute stick, while not believing in statute law. It's amusing to catch them on a technicality.

Also watching people who think they are more intelligent and reacting in away that makes them react as you wish.

Example form filling has no benefit when the Muppet will fill it in for you if you don't understand!

Dale Carnegie "How to win friends and influence people"

Computers specifically Linux as Microsoft was obviously designed like a glitter rolled turd.

Projects paid in kind, I fix a computer and someone buys me lunch for example.
