Game of Thrones
ah hah - just rewatched seasons 1 - 3 with husband, then watched season 4 which was new territory.
I am really enjoying it! ok, so its a bit graphic and fairly gruesome in places, but they have dragons, and armies, and castles, and a big ice wall and almost plausible ice monster things and family dynasties where the internal politics are fascinating.
IMHO the SFX on the dragons are very good. It is possible to suspend disbelief and watch it without going "oh no, that dragon looks CGd".
And the costumes! love the costumes. But what to choose - a kings landing ladies dress complete with waist long hair in complicated plaits - a dathraki costume of furry skimpy clothes, eyeliner and a horse (mmmh, Khal Drogo... 
) - Unsullied minimalist black armour - knights shiny silver armour - or the bright blue yet still practical for laying siege to random places outfits that danerys wears....
if only i could make clothes I would be going to comicon wearing something FANTASTIC! (i would also be forcing my small offspring to dress as legolas and aragorn but that's a whole different thread).
although in reality i would probably find them all too annoying to actually wear and end up with a more practical "wild-ling" outfit of whatever was easy to weave, was warm enough and was practical for hiking about the north in comfortably.

....its all getting a bit dark and perverse though.....
.....haha.....can't wait to get hold of season 2 ......I watched season one in a matter or days......got to ration myself and make the next season last a bit longer ...... probably won't though......btw, how good are the SFX regarding the dragons?
....however much I warm towards Tyrion Lanister (I have only seen season one).....I am not sure he should be king.............. The whole thing has made think that republics are maybe a better idea.....
