Hi guys, my Son Callum is currently in 6th form studying IT, Media and Business Studies.
The school have asked us to arrange a week's work experience for next year and he is interested in web design.
I thought this might be a good place to ask if anyone knows of a company who would be prepared to let him spend a week with them, knowing he is ASD, and give him an idea of what working will be like!.
His behaviour and effort at school has always been excellent and he amazed us with his gcse results!!.
We live in Faversham, which is close to Canterbury, Medway, Ashford etc and would be able to drive him where he needed to go.
I really don't think he has a clue on what working will involve and how difficult it will be for him to get a job after 6th form. We are hoping the school can arrange an assisted apprentiship for him.
