Looking for a particular type of fidget toy

Hi, I’m looking for a bendy fidget that doesn’t look too much like a toy.  It also needs to be small enough to fit in my EDC fidget pack, rather than drawer of fidgets at home.  At home I quite happily use one that is obviously a toy (a long the lines of the bendy man fidget except it’s a skeleton) but I’d be embarrassed about using it when out (I’m an adult).  I’ve tried the bendeez one.  The look is perfect but it’s huge.  It’s way to long to use as a fidget, even at home and impossible to fit in my little pack.  I’ve also tried a fluffy pipe cleaner.  But it just didn’t quite work for me.  Not sure why.  Can anyone recommend a bendy fidget?  Or an alternative (can be designed for any use) that fills the same type of movement and sensation.  I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find one.  I don’t mind if it’s brightly coloured.

I have a good selection of other fidgets in my EDC pack but I could really do with that particular sensation.

Looks like the handset cable we used to have on original BT phones with the dial :-)

  • Ooh, I like the look of that.  I think I’d add one if those anyway.  It’s small and quiet so perfect.

    Thanks :).

  • If you are still looking, how about a stretch plastic bracelet/ key chain type thing?

    Eg www.amazon.co.uk/.../ref=sr_1_28

  • I’ve seen those spiky rings.  Not sure about them for me.  Spikes can often cause sensory overload for me.

But I did find a solution to the bendy fidget problem.  I spotted in a shop bendy monkeys (like the bendy man) but they have a 3.5 inch bendy tail, that thanks to terrible manufacturing had fallen of on all of them in the shop.  But the tail on its own is perfect for my little pack.  The person behind the counter tried insisting on finding me an unbroken one but I was quite happy with it in pieces.  Way cheaper than importing a bendeez.

  • I bought these spikey rings the other day.

Not entirely like a bendeez, but they do bend! however they are somewhat sharper than i anticipated so i am tryingto work out a way to soften them.

  • I hadn’t thought of bendy pencils.  That’s worth trying.  Thanks.

I actually did try cutting a bendeez.  Turns out it has a wire inside it.  I didn’t know how to then protect the end with the exposed wire so it’s safe for fidgeting.  But if there is a way of doing it, I could try it.  I think the cut one is still in my bedroom somewhere.

  • could you cut a bendeez?
