Autism/ Child maintenance

Hi, I'm a father who is currently paying child maintenance for my Autistic son who is now 16, I have no contact with him due to his mother. I was wondering if anybody could tell me when I would stop paying Child maintenance for him as I am not sure how the Education system works in this case. The reason I ask is because my ex wife tried to make a claim for my daughter who is now 19 and she had left Full time education
