Would the world be a better place without it?

Imagine that we had the Old Testament, the Qu'ran, and the Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist etc. scriptures but not the New Testament then would the world be a better place or not today?

  • I can't comment on the Qu'ran, Hindu and Sikh scriptures, because I've never read them. But I have read some Buddhist scriptures, and the Old and New Testaments. From my limited perspective, the New Testament certainly could make the world a better place, if the moral teachings of Jesus described within it were followed accurately, even if you don't believe that he was the Son of God. (Of course, if you do, the book is essential reading.)
