Hi I am new to everything, I’m feeling like a baby fish in a huge ocean right now! We got our 5 year olds diagnoses in February and since then I have been lost in a fog and rollercoaster since then!
One of the challenges we have is that our child has always found a way to brake his toys and night light!! We soon realised it was because he was working out how they work, why they do what they do. We come from a very practical family! How ever I do find this very challenging when knowing what to buy that is child proof!!! Do I go with his interests like space? I don’t like the idea of a plug in in case he gets an idea and plays with that one! Or go for a colour one?? I would just like to have a light that doesn’t get broken or am I asking of to much and this is the reality of Autism?
My friends kids is Autistic. She is very inquisitive but wont break her toys, so this worked a charm. They had the same problem. She also cries at night if the light is off or on too brightly. She likes it mild but not too dim. They got one of these as a gift. No plugs. It's more or less a soft toy that lights up. No loose bits or plugs. It's sealed. It charges like one of those cordless IPhone chargers.

Here's a lady giving a review. She covers how to use it.
I think they do them in lots of characters that are Disney/Pixar so they might have a favourite. She just thinks it's a teddy that lights up.
Make sure it is the rechargable one though. The battery one seems like a total waste of time. I saw them finding the link for you and for the few pounds more, you get a sealed toy/light and don't have to buy batteries.

I hope it is useful. All the best!
They're like the modern version of the cuddly glow worm I used to have! https://blog.retroplanet.com/toys-80s-glo-worm/Loved that worm.

The new Glo Worm looks creepy! The old Glo Worm looked high as a kite but cute. The new one has a thousand yard creepy happy look. It isn't rechargable either, so if either of you are considering buying one for yourselves...............
