Supermarket autism hour

I know it is a nod in the right direction, but just dimming the lights at a quiet time does not adress the primary problem of supermarkets for me.

And that is never being able to find what I want. At the best of times, items are placed in a seemingly illogical coded order. I suppose this is to entice us into buying stuff we dont need by making us wander aimlessly up and down the aisles. But the major problem is that of every few months  rearranging the layout.

I know this is so we dont just go straight to what we want but to me it is so frustrating and stress inducing.I come out of the place with nothing because I couldnt find it or because the brand I wanted is no longer stocked. And yes, I can tell the difference.

I mainly shop in Lidls or Aldis as I like most of the things I get there and the price is good, but they are not averse to rearranging merchandise and changing the recipes so tha food now has ingredients that I am intollerant of. For example they now put onion powder in a lot of the fish at Lidls   My diet is restricted anyway due to my sensitive palate so to adulterate food like this merely restricts my diet further. Why can't the manufacturers understand that some of us like bland food, and not fancy recipes?  I enjoy something plain, have banana sandwiches most days but I am constantly told that I need more variety in my  diet which has kept me alive for nearly sixty four years.

So why cant the supermarket decide on a layout and stick to it? And have more bland recipes in their pre packaged food? It would benefit everyone, see people get what they want quicker and make them come again. An hour in a supermarket looking for stuff  is no fun at all.
