Saying goodbye

Hi all,

Just wanted to post a quick message to let everyone know that I'm going to be moving on from my position as the Community & Social Media Manager here at the NAS.

I know we've only been up and running properly for a year or so and it's not exactly been the smoothest ride but it's been great seeing the many discussions here. Whilst I'm not moving into another job related to autism I think the insight I've gained from all of you will be tremendeously useful in the future.

Over the next weeks and few months there will be a handover to a new person in my role but in the meantime you'll still see the mods about and people will be around on community.manager@nas.org.uk to help out with any problems.

As part of the handover I'm also putting together a document to outline possible development on the community in the future. Right now I'm including some of your suggestions include possible webchats with experts, improving the smileys, resolving log in issues and possible ways to address private messages/sharing contact details.

I'm also very serious about finding a way to help the NAS take advantage of the opportunities presented by the Consultation Group, something that we've sadly failed to get to grips with so far.

But if there's anything else people would like to suggest to improve or add to the community please let me know here and I'll take it on board when writing up the documents.

And yeah, it's been a really great time working for the NAS. Circumstances change and I need to say goodbye but wanted to let everyone know how much I've enjoyed it here :)
