Please can a Mod delete a thread of mine? I can't do it myself. Is there a Personal Message option?

As some may know, there was already a Thread recently, requesting the same thing. It also contains an answer from a "Mod".:
http://community.autism.org.uk/f/miscellaneous-and-chat/12271/how-do-i-delete-a-thread-i-started/
Generally, many Threads which contain many answers mean that that Thread was helpful to a lot of persons... Even if the starter no longer feels that the Thread is relavent/helpful/applicable... there is always someone else in a similar situation, who can benefit from the answers.
However, to stop (new) replies to a Thread, a certain very good User here (not me!) has set an example: Select the EDIT Option and delete all of the text, to reduce it to almost nothing. E.G. - " . " or " - ". Then only those who recall the original Post may say something about it.
I hope you and anyone understands all of what I mean, here.

I do, but when people post quotes that you can't delete, it can be a bother.
