STOMP stands for stopping over medication of people with a learning disability, autism or both with psychotropic medicines. It is a national project involving many different organisations which are helping to stop the over use of these medicines. STOMP is about helping people to stay well and have a good quality of life.
I wonder why NHS Scotland isn't supporting this. And it sounds like something NAS could possibly consider supporting.
I agree with the project, from my experience doctors/psychiatrists are far too keen to prescribe anti-depressants/anti-psychotics even when I have felt my own perspective hasn't been listened to and taken into consideration.
