Access to Work

I have a part time job, which I am struggling with.  Today somebody suggested that I should apply for help from the DWP's Access to Work scheme.

Are any of you familiar with this "Access to Work" scheme?  If so, what is your opinion of it, please?

  • I think it is well worth it.

I am in receipt of help from access to work and they provide a support worker for a couple of sessions a month and also suggested the adjustments I needed at work which was a lot more use than Occupational health. They also funded training for the staff on how to understand autism and the affects it has on me. It will also make it difficult for the employer to argue you are not covered by the equality act. The assessor was very understanding also
