involuntary spasms/noises

i have a 12yr old child who was diagnosed at three with h.f.a. worked through lots of things with him. very intelligent. but now has for the last three months or more involuntary twitches/ spasms and noises that get louder and louder. he isnt on any medication at the moment. has anyone had or know anyone with similar traits. we are just looking for some good advice. thanks

  • stress reduction is a good start...

    simplifying the lifestyle too...

can i assume he is undergoing the heavy stressloads associated with mandatory education? or maybe there are high demands or poorly-structured-and-forewarned expectations being placed on him from elsewhere? if none of the above are true, maybe he feels he needs his own time & space to breath and relax and even work hard independently & free from a rigidly confined or dictated daily atmosphere...

just some thoughts. all the basic things to help him regain clear composure
