Church

Hi.

I know this subject will not be for everyone so i hope it's not preachy in any way or form.

I've started going to church. I find it comforting and acceptance of my disabilities there.

I am getting baptised next month. Along with some of my nieces and nephews.

I hope to find peace and happiness by getting involved with my faith and more.

I hope nobody laughs at me.

Anne.

  • I went to church for years and am still connected to my local church but am leaving.

I have found the church unhelpful really.  The people there were not honest, they could be rude and once I shared the fact I was autisitic most didn't understand as I thought they would and it was seen as a bar to doing certain things.  Because I don't always understand boundaries, then I am not allowed to do certain jobs anymore in case something goes wrong, even though I've done stuff before and there wasn't any problems.

If you find church good, that's great but it isn't for me.
