Hi all as you all know by know i,m still learning about autism even though my little girl has it but what i want to know what is a STATEMENT i keep seeing people write about one but i dont know what it actually is so if someone can please help me and tell me thanks

  • It is a statement of education needs provided by your local authority to the childs school, to make sure that the right support is in place and protected for your child.  The school is also allocated extra money to provide this support. Normally schools already recognise children with special educational needs and place them on school action plus, and provide an IEP - Individual Education Plan but a statement goes one step further to say the school must make provisions, and to what extent.  Hope this helps.
