Reverse AI psychosis (not promoting AI)

Am I the only one who is having a reverse AI psychosis... I'm not having a psychosis because I use artificial intelligence too much... I'm having a psychosis because of the presence of artificial intelligence absolutely everywhere and I can't take it anymore... I don't want to live in a world like this... it's just horrible... even the creators of the greatest artificial intelligence on the planet tell us that they have already lost control and that artificial intelligence could exterminate humanity in just a few years... and then they happily tell me at my work that we are now going to implement artificial intelligence to "help us"... and according to them it was good news... why do I feel like I'm alone in seeing the damage already done and the potential damage of artificial intelligence... I feel like I'm going crazy just wanting to take artificial intelligence out of my life...I can't even do a simple search on the internet anymore without wasting liters and liters of water... because we don't even have a choice anymore... artificial intelligence is imposed on us, it doesn't matter... it's made worse than religion...

Im going crazy and I don't know what to do Sob

  • I don't think I would call it psychosis but I have found myself getting increasingly angry with AI recently. I have used the Large Language Models for research and for general questions and the amount of total bollocks they spew out is crazy. They make so many assumptions and if they don't know things they just guess. The constant flattery is sickening. I read stuff on Substack and the amount of AI slop that turns up on there is very frustrating. I absolutely hate it and I won't willingly have anything to do with it. I don't care if that holds me back in life, or makes things more difficult for me, or if I am just viewed as a luddite. It makes everything it touches shitter, it makes us dumber and is controlled by the sorts of wealthy tech bro's we shouldn't be letting anywhere near the level of power that the development of AI is giving them. If we continue down this path, we will come to regret it, I have absolutely no doubt.

I haven't even mentioned the vast data centres it requires and the energy and water it consumed. Plus of course the dangers of allowing AI to make decisions on our behalf that could end up destroying us. There needs to be a massive revolt against it involving large scale civil disobedience in my view. We are sleepwalking into a disaster.
