First appointment

I'm not sure if I should post it in this section. I had my first appointment and feel very much validated and understood. Next appointment is on next Thursday. The diagnostician told me, she is sure that im autistic,  but for full report she needs to gather more information from me. She asked me about my past, about my day, she had to stop me from talking about aliens and space. I also showed her my comics and she liked it. She said its fascinating, but we gonna miss the diagnostic process. She also said, I don't show any signs of adhd, which was also shown in test that I sent her.

  • That’s terrific news Alien! You have waited so long for this moment and I so glad it went well.

When I was going through the assessment process, during the first appointment, the psychologist said that he was sure I was autistic. It sent my emotions all over the place and I didn’t know whether to trust his comments because there were appointments still to come. However, now I don’t think assessors would make those comments unless they are fairly certain.

  • I'm not sure if I feel anything now. The only thing I want to do now is to build a new lego scene. But my daughter is awake and she would take my lego away.

  • Oh bless, dos she think it's her lego or that you aren't sharing, lol?

I'm really happy for you, it must be such a weight off your mind.

I think wanting to go and build a lego scene is quite normal, you can't keep on a high for days and you need something normal to settle yourself and allow today's session to sit in your head and find it's proper place
