Lovely autumn concerts at local churches

Recently I went to two live concerts at different churches.

On 4th October I went to The Sound of Trumpet and Organ — really lovely to hear. There were refreshments afterwards.

On 11th October I went to hear the Local Singers (former choir members) sing some songs while we listened, and we also joined in singing with the choir. Really good turnout. Afterwards there was tea, coffee and biscuits. It was fundraising for a cancer charity. A really good autumn afternoon to join in, see people and listen to music.

I'm also looking forward to Songs of Praise at the end of November.

I tend to avoid the Christmas carols by candlelight — I went a couple of years ago and ended up unwell afterwards, which was a shame as over 200 people turned up. I carefully choose events that are a bit more low-key with fewer people.

I'd love to see more younger people at these events.

Slightly off-topic — last year I went to a town planning meeting (the community managed to buy the field to stop homes being built) and my name was mentioned as I was the youngest person there!

How could we promote these kinds of events to younger people?

Would a younger persons group in the area help?
