Let down again

I was supposed to be having family come down and help me move a load of my friends stuff out of the house an into a storage unit ready for the electrician to come and do a load of work thats been waiting for a year and a half, its been cancelled due to various illnesses 3 times and now it looks like a 4th as everyones ill including my step son who has the trailer that was going to move all furniture.

I know its no ones fault, again, but I'm so fed up and exhausted, I've been busting a gut for the last 6 weeks getting everything ready and now it's all systems stop instead of go.

It just feels like another one of those times when I feel that theres no point in asking anyone to do anything as I will be let down at the last minute, now I've got to try and cancel the storage unit and hope I can get my money back £150. I really do feel so fed up and let down, I so wanted all this work done so as I can get on with other things like decorating, now I'm physically and mentally stuck. I don't know whether to cry  or bang my head against the wall.

Parents
  • Thank the Gods, they came today and have moved everything, so now I can get the electrics done. All the big stuff is in the storage unit and now we just need to lift the carpets.

I think I'm so used to being let down and the last on everyones list of importance that I just can't trust anymore.

The stuff belongs to the friend who used to live here and he can't move it due to now being pretty much wheelchair bound and having dementia.

Mum made her "dangerous" trifle and I made a big cottage pie with loads of greens and gravy, my sons like to have "Mum food" every now and again and trifle is always welcome.
