Least I was with my other family members (parents);
This week we had visitors saying nearby. A b&b in (location removed) 7th to 12th September.
We didn't meeting them on the first day as they needed a rest of the travelling by car.
Tuesday we invited them round to have coffee and tea. Also biscuits. Decided on what to do rest of the week.
Afterwards we headed into (location removed); centre for lunch in (location removed); where I had a brie and cranberry sandwich with crisps and salad. All had tea. Then went to the chocolate shop. Very good selection of homemade chocolate, ice-cream and cakes.
Returned home via the cake shop to buy a lemon drizzle.
In the evening we went to the (location removed); pub. I had traditional fish and chips. Pudding clotted cream and honeycomb ice-cream.
Wednesday we went on the train to (location removed);. Bought tickets for the steam train to (location removed); and ferry to (location removed);. We had lunch there. Caught the ferry to from (location removed);to (location removed); to board the steam train to (location removed); Home via the fish and chips shop. I had veggie burger with chips and salad. Pot of tea. Was a very long day.
Thursday a rest day. Phew! least was back to routine briefly.
Meeting up in the Italian restaurant in (location removed); (evening); had penne pasta in tomato sauce and panacotta.
Friday we went to (location removed); by bus to have lunch in the bus station cafe. Had toasted wrap with halloumi and salad.
Afterwards we went to the museum. In the evening we went to (location removed); for dinner. I had hunters chicken burger with chips and coleslaw. Profiteroles for pudding. Fizzy water.
Saturday the visitors heading home.
Really enjoyed the using green transport, seeing the views and exploring different places.
Will take a few days to get back to normal.
How do you adjust?
Next year the visitors want to stay in a b&b all together (5 of us); thought not a good idea. How do I get out of this situation? Surely done this before. A year time things maybe different. I don't like throwing ideas. They're obsessed coming down on one of my parent birthday.
Plus the visitors tried to ruined my birthday in year 2022. Also no mention of asking me how I'm getting on with my group. Very difficult to get through to them.
