To quote someone's message, first select/highlight the relevant text, and then use the Quote button that appears
To "mention" someone, type @ followed by the start of the forum name, and choose from the list; that person will get a notification of being mentioned

Small note: 988 doesn’t have counselors specifically trained in LGBTQ+ as of 2025: NPR article on “option 3”. I have some pretty strong feelings about that, tbh. If you are LGBTQ+, your best option for getting help during a mental crisis is Trevor Project.

988 does work though. It helped me once.
